My Daughter Doing It Herself

I started potty training my daughter before she was a year old. She got the concept of going in her potty, but since she couldn't tell me I had to read her. Then I had to move to Japan and had to stop but when our stuff got to Japan i started putting her on her potty when she had to poop. She did pretty good with that so we would put panties on her at home during the day and a diaper when we would go somewhere and at night. Then one day she fell asleep with her panties on and woke up but didn't get up and pee'ed in her pants . She didn't like the way it felt and started telling us when she had to go potty. When she discovered that diapers was ok to go to the bathroom in without feeling wet, she stopped telling us that she had to go potty. So we just put panties on her all the time and she wakes up in the middle of the night to go potty. She is almost 2 years old now with a brother on the way and I'm thankful that i get a little break between buying diapers. My whole point is that she knew what she was doing. They know when they are ready, but at the same time, you got to be ready as well. I think that it's better to have your 1st child potty trained before the 2nd gets here.
